Have you ever ridden a tandem bike?
We are happy to announce that we are now renting out tandem bikes!!
Tandem bikes have been recently allowed to be used on public roads in Japan.
These bikes have a ‘Pilot‘ – the front rider who controls the steering and brakes and the ‘Stoker‘ – the rear rider who helps to pedal.
We recommend an experienced cyclist for the Pilot. The Stoker has to be used to cycling too, as making sure your balance is correct is important.
The cycle to Lake Okutama is quite hard, so please make sure you are fit enough to ride.
If you haven’t ridden a tandem bike before, we can offer you a practice session to see if you can ride it well before renting.
Unfortunately you will not be able to leave the tandem bikes at our drop off points in Ome.

KHS Sport
