The autumn foliage season has begun in Okutama. The valleys and mountains along the Okutama Old Road and elsewhere are gradually turning colour.

The autumn foliage season in Okutama will continue to be at its best. Typically, the peak occurs around mid-November, with the maple leaves turning a deep crimson by late November. The autumn foliage season is the prime time for cycling! It feels absolutely wonderful to cycle through the beautifully coloured trees, ablaze with reds, yellows, and oranges.

The Hurrier e-bike is recommended for autumn leaf viewing. This sports-style bicycle glides effortlessly up hills.

When renting a bicycle, please remember to bring cold-weather gear. We particularly recommend bringing gloves. (These are also available for purchase at the shop, but quantities are limited.)
