We’re excited to announce that Trekkling will reopen on Saturday, March 21st, 2026 for a new season of cycling adventures in Okutama.
As winter fades and the mountains begin to wake up, spring is one of the most beautiful times of year to explore the quiet roads, rivers, and forests of western Tokyo.
🚴♂️ March & Early April – Weekend Opening
From reopening day until mid-April, we will be open weekends only.
This is a wonderful time to ride in crisp, clear conditions before the warmer weather arrives.
🌸 Cherry Blossoms at Lake Okutama
Cherry blossoms around Lake Okutama typically begin blooming in early April, with peak viewing often around April 10th (depending on weather conditions). It’s one of the most scenic times to cycle the area, with pale pink blossoms set against blue skies and mountain views.
🚲 Spring Gravel Bike Special – Longer Rentals Available
During this early spring period, we’re offering a special option for long gravel bike rentals:
Weekend-to-weekend rentals at no extra cost.
That means you can rent for 8 days for the price of 7.
This is ideal for riders planning extended trips beyond Okutama or exploring the wider Tokyo countryside.
Midweek drop-offs in Ome are possible by arrangement if that suits your travel schedule.

🌿 Fresh Green Season – Late April Onwards
From the end of April, the fresh new leaves begin to emerge, turning the mountains a vibrant green. This “shinryoku” season is a favourite among riders — cool air, bright colours, and fewer crowds than peak autumn.
🎌 Golden Week (April 29 – May 6, 2026)
Golden Week (April 29 to May 6, 2026) is one of our busiest periods of the year, and bikes often book out early.
We strongly recommend reserving in advance — or consider visiting one week before or after Golden Week for a quieter experience.
Please note:
English cycling tours will not operate during Golden Week.
